The
QNC contract for the CAS program ends 30 June 2010.  All existing applicants
must finish the program, in its entirety, prior to this date.  All assessment items must be submitted no
later than 4 June 2010 in order to allow time to process final
documentation for registration/enrolment before closure.  At
this stage we are unaware of a new program under the new scheme. Clinical
placement is the last module to complete in the CAS program and as mentioned
above must be completed, including assessment, by 4 June 2010.  NO
CLINICAL PLACEMENTS WILL BE ARRANGED AFTER 30 APRIL 2010.

If
your learning contract states you
have a piece of assessment due after 4 June, please disregard this.  ALL ASSESSMENT ITEMS MUST BE COMPLETED BY
4 JUNE 2010.

領有台灣醫師執照,但尚未取得專科執照, 是否擁有技術移民的資格?
You can apply 4 years Subclass 422 – Medical Practitioner (Temporary) visa after you obtain full registration in Australia. You will be able to apply specialisation within 4 years working in Australia.
To become full registered doctor, you will need to fulfil bellow 6 requirements:

1 Satisfy Australian Medical Council (AMC) English language proficiency requirements.

2 General practitioners (GPs/family physicians) must pass the AMC exam consisting of theory and clinical components.
Hospital non-specialists must meet the specific registration requirements of the relevant State or Territory Medical Board for an Area of Need position.
Specialists must apply to the relevant Specialist Medical College for recognition as a specialist via the AMC.

3 Apply for a visa and pass required character/police and medical checks.

4 Identify an appropriate job. (Most OTDs will initially have to work in an Area of Need position).

5 Apply to the relevant State/Territory Medical Board for medical registration.

6 Obtain medical indemnity cover in Australia.

International Medical Graduates need to submit evidence to the relevant registration authority of competency in speaking and communicating in English, as demonstrated by having completed the IELTS examination (Academic module) to the following standard:

1. The applicant must have achieved a minimum score of 7 in each of the four components.

2. Alternative English proficiency tests that will be accepted are:
• Completed and obtained an overall pass in the Occupational English Test (OET) with grades A or B only in each of the four components; or • A pass in the Professional Linguistic Assessment Board (PLAB) in the United Kingdom; or • A pass in the New Zealand registration Examination (NZREX) in New Zealand.

3. Results must have been obtained within 2 years prior to applying for registration.

The AMC examination consists of:
• a computer-administered multiple choice question (MCQ) examination to test medical knowledge, in 2 parts, each of 3 hours duration, and each containing 125 questions, administered on one day.
• a clinical examination, testing clinical and communication skills, of 3 to 4 hours duration, administered in a single afternoon or morning. A re-test examination, duration of 1 to 2 hours, will be administered if required.

晶片護照延後至99年3月1日調漲

有鑑於近日國人趕辦護照案件激增，立法院外交及國防委員會於本（28）日通過決
議，考量農曆春節假期係國人出國旅遊、探親之高峰，為體恤民眾，建請外交部延後至99年3月1日調整護照收費標準。由於立法院朝野兩黨委員在申請護照人潮
超乎預期之情況下一致作此要求，外交部經綜合考量後，立即協商相關機關同意將上述收費標準實施日期修正為99年3月1日，以順應殷切民意，並符依法行政原
則。
外交部表示，為加強護照安全，外交部已自97年12月29日起發行晶片護照，並將97年12月29日至98年12月31日訂為晶片護照宣導期，期間護照規
費維持不變。本年內曾多次透過新聞媒體周知社會大眾，復於10月12日至12月18日舉辦抽獎活動，贈送幸運得主與護照規費等值禮券，鼓勵民眾儘量提早辦
理。年底前最後兩週，並且機動調增人力、加設活動桌椅提供民眾填寫表格及延長收件時間至晚間7時等，以資便民。
晶片護照運用最新科技將增加製作成本，基於使用者付費原則，外交部早於97年12月26日公告修正「中華民國普通護照規費收費標準」，將一般10年效期晶
片護照規費訂為新台幣1,600元，並依據立法院決議將本（98）年訂為宣導期收費維持不變。全案並於98年9月25日經立法院完成備查，因此延後實施必
須先修正「護照規費收費標準」。外交部基於對立法院之尊重並考量申請民眾之安全與便利，爰以最快速方式修正前述法規，將實施日期延至明（99）年3月1日
並訂於本月（12）月30日公告。

我在職的時候 就有訓練的一批從世界各地來的護士 (一期約20人)
最多的是新加坡, 然後菲律賓 馬來西亞 非洲, 很可惜沒帶到台灣和中國來的學弟妹.

什麼時候我們台灣能做到實際護理人力 1:4 (ICU 1:1) 台灣才能跟人家論 Nursing quality
台灣護士實力真的很堅強 我們這些出走的台灣護士 能夠在澳洲有一片天 也是要感謝台灣的護理教育
只是沒有出來跟人家比一比 真的不知道國內外護理環境的差別
新加坡和菲律賓護士的實力也很強 而且占有語言上的優勢
